What is the Share Buy Calculator?
The Share Buy Calculator helps investors estimate the total cost of purchasing shares, including broker commission fees based on Nepal’s revised commission structure. This tool is ideal for understanding the total investment needed, especially when buying large volumes of shares.
How does Share Buy Calculator work with example?
Let's try to understand how the Share Buy Calculator works with an example. Suppose you buy shares of Himalayan Reinsurance Company Pvt. Ltd (HRL), with a share quantity of 50 and a purchase price of Rs. 810 per share.
We have,
Share Quantity: 50
Purchase Price per Share: Rs. 810
DP Charge: Rs. 25
SEBON Fee: 0.015%
Broker Commission: Based on transaction volume
Using the share buy formula, we calculate the total amount as follows:
Total Amount = Share Quantity × Purchase Price = 50 × 810 = Rs. 40,500
DP Charge = Rs. 25
SEBON Fee = Total Amount × 0.00015 = Rs. 6.07
Broker Commission = Total Amount × 0.36% = Rs. 145.8
Total Payable Amount = Total Amount + DP Charge + SEBON Fee + Broker Commission = Rs. 40,676.88
Total Cost Per Share = Total Payable Amount ÷ Share Quantity = Rs. 813.54
So, the total payable amount for buying shares of HRL would be approximately Rs. 40,676.88, and the cost per share would be Rs. 813.54.
